Objectives of the Charity

· To provide accommodation to selected almspeople in the cottages known as Boultbee Cottages.

· To make homes available for people living within the New Forest parish of Emery Down and Bank who find themselves within straightened circumstance often for reasons outside their control.

· To have proper financial control of the Charitable Incorporated Organisation known as Emery Down Almshouses and to meet the contractual obligations and requirements of funders.

Responsibilities of Trustees

· Hold the Charity in trust for present and future generations.

· Place the interests of residents, with the preservation of their dignity and independence, at the centre of the Charity’s values.

· Guard the reputation of the Charity and act solely in its best interests.

· Take responsibility for the Charity’s compliance, performance and assets.

· Deliver a high standard of governance.

· Ensure the effectiveness of the Charity.
